This is one of those things where outsiders to the FGC just don't understand; It's hard as hell to kill a fighting game. If it can keep concurrent player numbers constantly above 50 and do offline meetups at events then that's enough for the game to be considered as having an active scene. But that isn't to say you can't mock it for low numbers though, just giving some context as to why it can keep on trucking as it is
