I just switched from resperidone to abilify. Anyone on abilify? im on 10mg for schizo.

Resperidone was too sedating. I heard abilify is less sedating.

anyone take this med? any med/psyc students with experience with this med?

Aripiprazole is newer and has a lower incidence of side effects (particularly EPS and metabolic side effects) than risperidone.

No personal experience with antipsychotics, but i would advise you start taking omega3 fish oils (if you're not already):

Also you should consider trying nicotine and seeing if it helps.
I've read stories online of people finding it really benificial (i would advise not taking it in tobacco form though).

Obviously you should still continue taking your meds. Oh and btw, i've experimented with nicotine gum before, if you're new to nicotine (as i was) and you take more than the reccomended dose it gets sedating, which is probably not what you're looking for. Good luck btw.

can I drink alcohol when on abilify? i never did when on resperidone since it sedated the fuck out of me
