I made a thread about schizo a few days ago. Anyways, I went in and a psychiatrist diagnosed me with paranoid schizophrenia. Sadly, I do have it. Sucks for my life.

What would be the better plan if I can't bring my grades up? Medical withdrawal, or trying to get incomplete in all of my classes? I'd like advice from those of you who know about the process. And what happens to my financial aid if i withdraw? I'm pretty sure I can get one for fucking paranoid schizophrenia.

You have a debilitating illness and qualify for welfare.

That said, your post is remarkably coherent for a sufferer of P.S.

I think people reaching into their pockets are getting weapons. I think people laughing are ridiculing me and about to embarrass/attack me. I think cops are going to kill me when they drive by. People murder me in my dreams every night. Shit like that.

I'm not crazy ranting homeless, but meh.

feel lucky you have conscious loop feedback mechanisms still in your brain.

feel lucky that schizophrenia is a crucial part of social evolution, and without its incorporation into the gene pool, we'd still be monkeys throwing shit at each other.

And, I already spent all my loans on shit. Will I have to pay them back starting when i drop my classes? I don't have the money and can't get a job in my current state. Getting paranoid my life's going to get more fucked up.

Wouldn't the lock you up OP?

Usually when a psychiatrist diagnoses you with something like, they don't just hand you a bunch of pills and tell you to fuck off, usually you have to spend at least a month "inside".

what is a conscious loop feedback mechanism?

I didn't get locked up. I don't hallucinate. I have negative symtpoms like social withdrawal, flattened affect, along with delusions of persecution. but i realize they are delusions shortly after i have them. i'm a high functioning case or some shit.

Medical Withdrawal instead of Incompletes. You can withdraw from the entire quarter/semester for medical reasons. If you've paid your tuition/expenses with financial aid, they'll ask for the tuition back (most likely).

Best bet is to email your Academic Counselor and explain your medical diagnosis and why you want to withdraw. Public Universities (and private) are required by Federal law to make huge strides to compensate for your disability.

Your school might even have on-campus psychological counseling free of charge.

Email your AAC.

There's a process for each school. You're not the first to use it.

What is/was your major OP?

I think you can get your loans forgiven if you have a serious disability.

I don't have the money to pay any of it back. Tuition was already paid for with grants. There's a really cheap school psyc im gonna see. I saw the one through my moms insurance because i could be seen the next day. the school wouldn't see me for a month even though i told them about my symtpoms. fucking cunts.

Then do this: keep attending the classes. If you don't want to take the Finals, then don't. Regardless of your grades you can retroactively drop the entire semester for medical reasons.

If you withdraw from the semester they will ask for the money back.

How can I get my loans forgiven? And is schizo serious enough for it to happen?

>>3847161
What happens if I don't have the money? And what about an incomplete. Would that allow me to keep my money but retake the class in the spring and do better when my meds are working so i can focus instead of thinking about ways people could be out to get me?

>> No.3847197

>>3847183

I'm saying don't withdraw during the semester. If you do withdraw during the semester they will ask for the money back.

Continue to turn in the assignments and taking the exams. You can decline to take the Finals and then during the school break file for a retroactive withdrawal of from the semester. That will wipe all your grades for that semester.

University may not be in the cards for you for awhile...

>Regardless of your grades you can retroactively drop the entire semester for medical reasons

This is a dangerous assumption to make. I would speak with your registrar asap and explain your situation and get to work on providing all the documentation that they will require.

I had something similar to that once OP - not as advanced, but I was constantly on the lookout for weapons and thought everyone was 'out to get me'

Someone does something for me? Must be a trap.

Did they just give me a present for my birthday? its a trick.

I had clinical depression, But i was able to pull through it (mostly). I’m not depressed anymore, but I still have a degree of paranoia – I cant go into places with lots of people, as I always feel like I’m being ‘hunted’ and have breakdowns. As a kid, until I was officially diagnosed, my parents thought I was just being a troll and forced me to do it.

Why am I telling you? I don’t know. I empathies with you I guess, though I have no advice you might find helpful.
