I'm actually wondering if I'm mild bipolar/cyclothymic cause I just went through a very high energy phase (normally need 8-9 hours sleep a night, got 5-6 and felt fine everyday), and felt wired all the time. a couple times, i had thoughts where I was paranoid or my thoughts got way ahead of my current situation (wanted to drop a class cause I couldn't finish one of my HW assignments). Usually I'd realize my thoughts for what they were 1-2 hours later (or the next day) and be fine tho.

If you have a medical condition that seriously impacts you're ability to perform, you could likely get a medical withdrawl. Also, it would be easy to explain to potential employers / grad school apps if one semester sucked so long as you have medical documentation.

That being said, an antipsychotic could likely bring you back down to a normal level quickly. Just see a pdoc. Don't worry about failing your classes just yet. Full blown mania can sometimes present itself like schizo... do you feel manic?

OP here. Yeah i thought it was normal too until i met a girl who was schizo but coherent. i finally told her about my thoughts since she talked about them first so I was like "oh this is normal" then she told me she has schizo. And I was like "oh shit...."

Might want to see a doctor too.
