I can't deny that, but interpreting a text that's philosophical in nature and very old and from a different culture creates a lot of grey area for subjectivity, it's not quite a scientific endeavor.

I have kinda, I know not all Christians are like this. Kant was a Christian, from what I can see, but one with the humility and intelligence to admit that it the truth of such things can't truly be known with absolute certainty. We owe much to him and I may not understand everything he wrote, The Critique of Pure Reason is pretty wordy but i did watch a YT vid about him for new years eve so I'm sure like an expert now :^)

There are others as like Kierkegaard, Origen my favorite of the Church Fathers, mostly due to his universalist stance, plenty of other Christians who don't just constantly spout opinion as fact and tell everyone else they're gonna burn forever if they don't agree with them. I know the Bible isn't justa book of fairy tales either. Still I really wonder if it's even possible to get to the truth of these matters, even death and afterlife wouldn't help because New Jerusalem, Hades the lake of fire, whatever the 'sea' is in terms of a place for the dead, Sheol, and/or outer darkness could just be illusions as this world we're in now could.
