Okay if it's harnessing the physics of the planet, I got one: water evaporates into clouds, then rains into rivers, and the rivers flow into dynamos that generate electricity. The water then evaporates again, without needing any energy from us. It's genius. It's lossless. It's perpetual fucking motion until the planet gets swallowed up by the sun. I'm in sustainable contracting, and I have a personal interest in energy storage and generation.
It just so happens that the most efficient, practically viable method of energy storage available to us today is pumping water uphill, so it can be run down through hydroelectric turbines. More efficient then batteries, more efficient then kinetic centrifuge storage, more efficient then supercapacitors, you name it.

Please note: Siphons work without energy because they consume *potential* energy. Remember, elevation is potential energy, because it creates a *potential* for a situation where an object experiences a force (gravity) without an opposing force (support), and therefore begins to move (fall).
tl;dr: Siphons only work if the output is lower (in elevation) than the input. You can siphon over a hill, but not uphill.

Also: What's the point of a hydraulic system? And oils are subject to evaporation too. Furthermore, by making the oil lighter you would decrease the force it exerts per unit of volume due to movement, thereby decreasing it's potential energy by volume, meaning it would take more to do the same amount of work.

It will hit the first alignment where each magnet on the wheel is as close as possible to a corresponding magnet on your frame, and stop dead.
