Is no one going to stop him from having a monopoly?

Sure, what's a better than alternative than Tesla. Name me a better EV that gives you equivalent/more power, equivalent/more range, equivalent or less cost than Model 3, equivalent or more charging capability than Superchargers, equivalent or more capable software features like autopilot/sentry mode(comes stock).

Give me an alternative thats better/equivalent to Falcon9 in terms of price/reliability/availability.

Protip: there are no none.
The closest competitor to Model 3 costs 2x the price if you want the power, you will have to wait 2-3 years if you want the range since no ev currently matches Tesla in range, another 2-3+ years if you want the supercharging like access anywhere(and only in europe since thats the closest to supercharging access, in America it will take another 10+ years for competitors to catch up). The ones in the price range lack range, power, charging capacity today.
Closest competitor to Falcon 9 doesn't exist for another 2-3 years. Falcon9 maybe phased out in 2-3 years and replaced with Starship, which has no competitors in either range, price, or payload. Even NASA's 40+ billion dollar by 2024 for SLS wont be an alternative.

Its not that there aren't competitors, there are. They just aren't competitive enough.

I've driven other EVs and they're fine. I however am still waiting to see these other private space travel companies actually send someone up on one of their rockets.
Your analogy therefore fails.

Criticizing your competition is not specific to monopolies.

Why do all electric vehicles look so soulless

>> No.12730351

Tesla took a lot of the risk developing the EV market. Now that the technology is maturing, the big automakers can move in. Many of the base EV components are likely to be developed and made by companies like Delphi. Auto makes will just be competing on styling and their infotainment systems.

that real-world test shows that Tesla is the worst in the industry at overstating their range. In fact the ranges of their vehicles is about industry average.

I hate the guy, but he's doing almost everything right. BO is a joke and until someone mass produces economical batteries, Tesla will remain king.

Elon does make his products enough for what it is. The only better EV competitor and probably the best EV around is the Taycan (even with it's flaws) but Porsche is a 90 year old race king company so you can't even compare both, and also normalfags will complain about the price when Porsche never made anything cheap kek

>> No.12731330

>>12731127
Porsche isn't a Tesla competitor. The price is higher than Tesla by 2-3x and performance is worse than Tesla. The saving grace for Porsche is brand loyalty from 90 years of operating as car company and their unique driving style.

I will stop ripping apart other space travel companies when they actually prove themselves instead of showing renders. Rocketlab and ULA are the only competitors I respect.
