After reading the posts on schizophrenia on /sci/ this week, I look it up.

It seems, there's far more signs of being a schizo than just world salad and tangential rants. And I think I have some of them.

Is there anyone with actual knowledge on this subject? Not those of you who think schizophrenics don't have the insight to realize they are sick, or that stuff. I mean people who've been educated to a high level in Psychology or Medicine and the like? No, knowing a bat shit rambling neighbor that screamed about the voices, is not what most of them are like.

I sometimes stop speaking in the middle of a sentence and forget what I was saying. I can type fine, albiet much slower than my peers. Handwriting, is horrendously slow and has progressively gotten worse over the years. When writing by hand, I write the wrong word, wrong letters, or write shit out of place that doesn't make sense. This is common. I don't do it on purpose. Type the wrong word sometimes. Sometimes in speech as well. But it's common in writing. Never thought it was serious, and I'm a loner so no one ever says anything.

I repeat the same phrases often. I can't seem to think of dynamic unique things to say unless I put lots of time into writing a paper. when I am forced to be spontaneous I have a very, very limited vocabulary and seem dimwitted. My verbal fluency was abnormally low when tested. 15-20 or something.

I cannot start creative conversation topics. If I approach someone I have to ask them about the time, or for a smoke or something preplanned. I can't just make a witty comment and chat a girl up. I seem mildly stupid/retarded I think, I do not know if people see me that way.

>Semantic paraphasia – Substitution of inappropriate word. e.g. "I slipped on the coat, on the ice I mean, and broke my book.

Many mild-moderate signs of aphasia.

Then some other stuff non verbal. Following post.

>my face if i do have this
