A driver is supposed to complete a 70 mile trip at an average speed of 70 mph. He drives the first half of the distance at 35 mph. How fast must he drive the second half, in order to meet the 70 mph goal?

How to do that the thumbnail be different from full image? As a thumbnail it displays one image, but when fully opened in an browser it displays a different image.
I've seen this tutorial on YT, but it's not very clear, like a few examples wich I've seen here in 4chan, with .jpg images.

Does anyone know how to do that?

In hopes of increasing my academic productivity I've tried rx'ed d-amphetamine at escalating doses (1mg, 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg, 20mg) with a few day break between each attempt. I get no cognitive effects, just this odd dysphoric malaise feeling and elevated blood pressure.

Do I have schizophrenia or something?

Question: If the universe is expanding at C, how do photons exist? Is it like .9999... C, or photon=/=C? If so, why are mathematicians so anal about it? We only ever see anything because of .999.. not equaling 1

I'm looking into propositional logic/calculus and I was wondering if you could recommend any books? I've read through the Wikipedia article and I understand fairly well, but I'm still looking for some sort of textbook to make sure that I have a complete understanding of the subject, and if I decide to write formulas etc. that I write them in a proper format.

This is the book that I'm looking into at the moment:

OK OP here again. I think I'm understanding this a bit better. Is there a difference to finding the coefficients that are A and B in an equation such as this than it would be in a normal equation?

Sibling rivalry. All of the sciences you mentioned are slightly to heavily involved with each other.

There are also long-standing stereotypes about engineering. One is that people generally assume that physics and mathematics require a higher level of thinking. In reality, this is not always the case. This type of profiling stems from the engineering mindset, which is usually very straight-to-the point, sometimes making engineers appear simple-minded to others.

I'm not an engineer or a scientist, though. I'm a medical student, so I catch more flak about being stupid than either of you.

I don't know about you /sci/entists, but when my jimmies get rustled, I find listening to radio static very soothing.

Only thing is, I had a strange idea that may seem totally absurd. Is listening to white noise damaging to the human ear, and if so, is it safe in moderation and/or at a low volume?
