Why are mathetmatics so fascinating yet so dry when you try learning them?

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've always wanted to go into a technical high school, but unfortunately our fucking city is oriented on finance and business. Our school is one of the best in the state, but it doesn't feel like it when the tech courses are mashed together with finance. At least programming, engineering systems, robotics/automation, and AP comp sci are available, but it still feels lacking. On the bright side, your grade dropped because of Spanish, not math or science. Can't say the same for myself.

Seriously guys. I try in school, I really do. The only thing I have ever found comfort in is the Literature/English and the Science-related subjects in my school.
It actually really makes me feel bad that I couldn't do things like Pre-Calc freshman year, or even Alg 2 for heavens sake. I really want to be interested by math, but I just can't wrap my head around certain concepts.
I'm always labeled as the somewhat Intelligent one in my friend groups, but the feeling you get when your friends look at your report card and say, "Why are you getting so many B's SmartAnon?"
How can I become as smart and wanting to succeed as you guys? I'm a Junior in Highschool, just saying.
