What are the benefits to telling people you are schizophrenic?

I was diagnosed recently after /r9k/ made me consider I should see a psychiatrist. Diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Apparently I'm not just a social retarded shy faggot. feels good to have some blame removed.

I've never had a job. What does the government give people like me in terms of welfare/free shit? If poor niggers get money, im sure schizophrenics get some help....anyone have details

what about if i tell my school? will they kick me out? i dont want to be seen as a possible school shooter. but there is a disability department. what kind of stuff would they do if i told them I was schizo? what about my professors? what would they do if i told them im schizo? classmates?

only me and my mom know right know. so i dont know how people ract.

help pls. can people tell me how others reacted when you told them?

also, do any of you med or psych fags know the science behind why schizophrenics social skills deteriorate? i can't talk as well as before, can't hold conversations, cant relate to people, and just became socially retarded in general as soon as the symptoms and fear hit. The social skills didn't come back with meds, even if the other symptoms went away. nothing seems to help with that....
