>hey /lit/ what do you think of Heart of Darkness?
>OHOHOHO ITS SO GOOD! ITS THE BEST! THE PROSE!
>Sit down to read it
>Manage to slog through the first 70 pages
>the entire book is just nonsensical rambling, theres barely any structure to the narrative
>thoughts are not linked between paragraphs
>the whole thing is just a race to see how many adjectives one can fit into a sentence before completely changing the direction of the paragraph in the following sentence
This has been one of the most abysmal books I have ever wasted an hour of my time trying to read. This is god damn horrible. What kind of lying, self-righteous bleat bag do you have to be to seriously think this piece of trash is worth anything except kindling? What a god damn waste of time. You retards are never going to be trusted again.

Heres a sample of how fucking nonsensical this shitty god damn kindling is:
>I stoked a whirling ember, watching the lustful smoke float erroneously through a convuluted prism of birth pains and gas "We've got a machine," started a young moustached white bearing a large portico of windows along his collar. He was stretching his tennis arm while several niggers burped along a crested brow ridge, "It's all for the making."

I took a long spaghetti tinted heart felt glimmer glance at the forest that drew onto the high waves of our cruised mariner. How could it get to be beyond the pinnacle of an achievement?
"There's a certain craft in the sunlight," Began a large, boastful Swede bearing a galoshed beard of rhythmical nuisances. He had a narrowed, twilight sort of canter as two niggers were beaten under a stovepipe station where I saw a buttonless sheep shearer urging on the boarding call, "Kurtz tried to jammer in a wall flower you know." He said and I agreed.

If you read the first 70 pages you're probably like already done. It's not that long. Read it again in a few years and you'll like it.

I stole off down a runway light at the pace of several knotting urges in my stomach. THe boards of the ship were nice, the conductor was a frail nigger with a black bushy line across the forearms of the woman in his cradled throat. There, among the moonlit softness the sun was already at its peak.
"How about a card?" A bubbling harpy with a hairpin tied around his waist cord asked after awhile.
Well I tell you, it was a thing that I tried to veer out into the shallows for a spree of the barristers were preventing any kind of good dynamite from setting in on a man-of-war where a French fusilier flicked a nigger like a pilgrim.
"We get a lot of reasons", I replied.

Actual sample:
>"This simply because I had a notion it somehow would be of help to that Kurtz who mat the time I did not see --- you understand. He was just a word for me. I did not see the man in the name any more than you do. Do yo usee him? Do you see the story? Do you see anything? It seems to me I am trying to tell you ya dream --- making a vain attempt, because no relation of a dream can convey the dream-sensation, that commingling of absurdity, surprise, and bewilderment in a tremor of struggling revolt, that notion of being captured by the incredible which is of the very essence of dreams...."
This is horrible writing.
