When this came out, nobody who hadn't experienced actual trauma could ever hope to really understand Kurtz or "The Horror". I think that things are different now.

Up until the age of the internet, "The Horror" was a tangible thing. It was blood and pain and hopelessness in person, right in your face. Social media is a more abstract "Horror", but it still fits into what Kurtz experienced in the jungle. So many people truly hate it but are drawn in nonetheless.

What do you guys think?
