Ciel definitely had the best chemistry with Shiki out of all the other girls. Shiki and Ciel are literally like a married couple from the very start of the VN.

In the VN, Ciel is consistently the only character that is shown to be competent, assured, and benign. She is consistently the only character Shiki can trust. She is, consistently, the only character that knows what she's doing, and is willing to help Shiki. When Shiki is babbling around like the retard he so often is in the VN, Ciel is always here to reassure him, help him get back on his feet, and is just a great human bean in general.

Ciel was a secretive mask-upon-mask character and becomes unpredictable because of how often she switches between them even though Ciel acts completely independent from Shiki and the rest of Tsukihime's plot. The umbrella scene where Ciel finds Shiki in the rain and he has nowhere to go, so she takes him to her apartment and help him get back to his regular self. That scene is also triggered by having Shiki face reality instead of denying that it happened and having him believe that it was just a dream.

Ciel was cool as hell, with Ciel running up the wall and attacking from the fucking CEILING and Shiki can’t help but be honest and think of it as “charmingly beautiful”.

You know, Ciel true is the closest thing to a good ending that Shiki will enjoy. Thanks to his partial Roafication he probably won't drop dead of brain damage in his mid 20s and live a fulfilling life balancing his time between Ciel and Akiha and keeping both from killing each other.

Shiki is a morally upright individual and a normal boy most of the time but he's such a fucking goofball with weird hobbies and passtimes that throw everyone in his house off the moment he gets comfortable because the thought he was laidback and mature rather than childish and energetic and playing pranks here and there but can still flip on a fucking dime and can be colder and even more disturbing than Ryougi if he wanted to. How do you know Neco Arc isn't the final boss of the event? I wouldn't think too much from a setting that has servant universe and gg events when we know what Nasu's said about them. Fate is so creative it's insane. A lesser work would've just taken the concept of servants and ran with it but what makes stay night amazing in my eye is that the focus is solely on shirou in the middle of all those mythological figures and he still manages to be worthy of that focus.
The way each route builds on the previous one and adds new lore and context each time is godlike too.
