are high dividend yield products like JEPI a scam? doesn't your principal dilute long term? what's the point?

even SCHD which supposedly grow your principal, what's the point of getting a dividend paid to reinvest it after paying taxes when you can buy SP500 and just compound automatically?

if you are rich enough that you can live like a neet, just withdraw manually each month and don't go beyond 3.5% yearly or so

dividends are retarded. seems like a psychological thing of not seeing your shares go down as you withdraw + the "im getting paid" effect vs manually withdrawing.

Psychology and cash flow are extremely important. Buy and hold S&P means you have to fight your psychology in downturns and you get no cashflow to even out the volatility.

So sure, manage your own withdrawals. To me it is worth a 1% fee to get a distribution I can count on and use for proof of income.

Mid-wits love this discussion because they think it is about MATH and TOTAL RETURN when in reality every individual's lifestyle is different and entry/exit happen at different times.

If you keep up with the withdrawals, the amount of shares are eventually going to go down to zero. You stupid gigantic fucking retard.

>when you can buy SP500 and just compound automatically
"Withdrawing manually" is a taxable event as well, stupid fucking dipshit.

Fuck off with your retard shit
