So I am of the Chainlink OGs that sold half of my stack at $40 and rebought at $5-6 during the bear, and I’ve concluded that even though I admittedly got caught up in the hype Chainlink seems like a bit of a convoluted system for blockchains to just be able to share data.
I read that a proposal in the next bitcoin update will schedule an api request to all other blockchains on the global blockchain register that they have to sign up to, and that when those blockchains make an api endpoint that sends the correct json in the bitcoin documentation then price feeds and transaction data will be automatically shared between all blockchains simultaneously. The bitcoin endpoint to share it's own price will be going live at the next miner voting summit.
The incredible thing is that private organisations can also sign up to the blockchain register, and open an endpoint to feed data to all of the blockchains as well under the guise of a ticket. So for example the NASDAQ will register and share all it's share price data to all of the blockchains including bitcoin from a single endpoint - it's genius really.
Chainlink is a json parser solution looking for a problem, but the problem is soon to be resolved by itself anyway, hence LINK's price action I suppose.
