I completely expected this to take 2-3 years to get to this point after the selen termination. I thought Sayu would take another year maybe to get back to 1k ccv at the start of every stream. Doki would grow quickly, but maybe hit 500k by the end of the year. Niji would probably have another yab or two left in the tank before a few more graduations, but instead everything came at once in the past 3 months and it's a fucking trashfire and my feelings are completely fucked up since even the few comfort streamers I had in that company are apparently terrible assholes who may have had a part in pushing my favorite streamer to nearly killing herself. Even back then they were already pieces of shit. I've seen niji fans slandering Kizuna AI and praying for her downfall.
I've seen niji fans fanning the flames on the Coco taiwan drama and celebrating, hoping for hololive to collapse and every member to be harassed by the Chinese and be forced to graduate.
I've seen niji fans harass and doxx Aloe after they found out about the twitcast she had where she talked about black companies and a friend of hers that recently graduated from being a niji vtuber.
I remember the discord leak of nijiEN organs making fun of council. Niji fans used that to mock holo fans and then they gradually downplay it to it just being a joke into "the holo girls probably talk shit in their discord too"

There's also a nijiJP organ that sang a song slandering Pekora and her fans. As usual, the niji fans thought it was a dog whistle to start harassing Pekora and the other holo talents.

These are just some of the examples that show niji organs and their fanbase have always been a bunch of pieces of shit. Everything that's happening to them is 100% deserved

Also, the critical difference between apple/samsung and nijisanji is that apple and samsung offer a physical, useful product whose value is not dependent on how emotionally invested you are in the brand. There are alot of people who don't care about any bad press they are getting and just buy one because the need a smartphone and the reviews look good.

Nijisanji however offers an entertainment product whose revenue depends almost entirely on their audience's emotional investment into them. You cannot have people who don't care about the stuff nijisanji gets up to because that is the product, and if you fuck up that relationship things will go bad very, very quickly, and you'll have a hell of a time trying to pull things back from the brink.

It wasn't as effective as they think it was even back then. It worked for the sisters that harassed her, but I remember a lot of the nijifans I interacted with were soured by it at best. I took a look at Vtuber corps starting two years ago since I wanted to sell out and go corporate.
As an American interested in the Japanese, Any color wasn't ideal since it focused on China but even back then I knew I could sense that I'd be at odds with their management quick so I didn't apply.
I never got in with Cover but I still apply because I think they grasp that Westerners are a whole different bag of apples and we're in it for the creativity, not the yen which is much weaker than our own currency.
