Okay. My commentary on the whole thing:
1) take off the damn tinfoil hat.
2) you can't have mass schooling that's standardized AND customized. Obviously, all kids learn differently, so customization would be best. And if you want that, then fucking homeschool your kids. But the school system is a rational approach to teaching kids basic shit in a basic way - stick them in a room and tell it to them until they can remember and apply it. It seems to work pretty well.
3) No one claimed that school is there to make you a god or a genius or a "better person" or to bring out your full potential. Doing that is YOUR job once you know what's out there.
4) obedience is a good thing in an organized society. But obedience and blind faith are two different things, as are obedience and agreement; and, fortunately, you can express your disobedience in constructive ways if you like.
5) is it bad to be a cog in the machine? what if that's what I really want to do? What if I define myself by different behaviors than you do? I don't have to be just like you. (and by "you" I mean the guy who made this video)
6) idioms are idioms. If you don't like them, make your own.
7) emotional arguments are dumb, I agree with you there. But this has nothing to do with education.
8) Inspiration is your own responsibility. But you have to know how to be inspired before you can be inspired.

Anyone who dosn't see the absurdity to which education has generaly degraded to is a moron. Grades are essentialy concidered the only goal in the process. It has become customary to think that once a good grade has been obtained it is common for the knowledge to be forgoten, even among the protagonists of the system. It has becom merly a dog eat dog for social status. More and more it only teaches destructive competition compatible with the current economic system.

I'm not against standardistion and quantification, i'm just saying that the peoples state of mind towards these things has plumited into absurdity and it is cleary evident, or at least should be to any aware person. The primary goal of education is to educate, spread knowledge and undertanding. It's primary goal isn't to quantify or seperate into classes, but it has become. A sole method within the system has become a useless purpose in respect to knowing.

It's like speed and acceleration. Knowing speed doesn't matter because it will change based on it's acceleration.
What matters is not your current knowledge but the rate at which you learn. Schools today endorses only the current knowledge and it completely disregards students who are fast at learning.
Sometimes when i'm looking into my physicsbook I ask myself, just why can't this be a big summary of everything. My book left out so much key information just to make the math part easier or for some other reason i don't understand. It looks like they focus rather on memorizing and repeating instead of real learning and understanding. But I think the problem is not the system, but rather the teachers. I think they should be able to recognize those fast learning students and offer them the education they need/want.
Unfortunately I can't say that I have the best teacher. Everytime I ask him something about content outside of our curriculum he is confused because this information has nothing to do with what we are supposed to learn. I like learning but I dont want to simply repeat certain formulars to get the best grade without knowing what i actually did because it's no fun. next problem, is school supposed to be fun? In any case, I'm not happy with how i learn at school. At least I'm not as happy as I think I should be when I really want and like to learn.
I could quit school and just teach me everything myself but for what are there then schools in the first place? Only for the (stupid) people who have no problem with memorizing and repeating? Also, this would make it harder for me to go to university.
That is the problem that needs to be solved and he in the video wants to address, i think.
