>That feel when taking the most difficult course in your degree (3rd year EE course)
>4.0 GPA, nothing below an A yet
>That feel when you fucking know that you're going to lose that 4.0 after this course.

Fucking shit is depressing. Sucks being dumb.

Not only that, that B is going to drop your GPA by about 2 points... or at least it always seems like it does

>> No.4258872

Well, I had 1 class in 2nd year 1st sem that killed my GPA (got an A- rather than an A...). Oh well, still have a 3.99, plus I have only 1 semester left b4 I graduate.

Electromagnetism and solid state physics are both so awesome though.

Protip: Employer's are looking for people with experience = internships.

>mfw I failed organic chemistry the first time I took it
>no worries, I can just pass fail it
>one and a half years later, I realize that the F still counts for your GPA if you fail a pass fail class
>my GPA is 0.19 lower than it should be

Seriously, an F brought me down from a 3.07 to a 2.88. A few B's will not hurt you at all.

This. GPA is important, but anything above a 3.5 should be plenty for most employers and decent grad schools.

why do people not realize that your gpa won't matter after your first real job?

unless you're going to grad school then i guess it's a bigger deal.

Yea, and exactly what your "first job" is has a LOT to do with grades (unless daddy can use his contacts to get you a comfy job somewhere).

4.0 in EE?

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU GO TO COLLEGE?

I mean seriously, I don't think there is even a single guy in my program who has a 4.0 by junior year (I'm at a big name/high rank/cutthroat school)

>A's on all computer science classes, maths etc. >B's on gen ed requirements like art history

Pulling A's on classes half the people fail and getting a B on cheesecake shit like memorizing painters because it's useless knowledge.

>internship last two years, maintain a 3.8 in computer science related courses, commuting 90 minutes per day to college/work and running my ass into the ground

Just because you have a degree in science/math doesn't mean you have to be a teacher or work in a lab. There are many jobs available in the general market which pay better, and GPA is almost never used because even different teachers in the same program result in different grades, and then you have colleges on vastly different levels from one another.
