Well, I had 1 class in 2nd year 1st sem that killed my GPA (got an A- rather than an A...). Oh well, still have a 3.99, plus I have only 1 semester left b4 I graduate.

Electromagnetism and solid state physics are both so awesome though.

Protip: Employer's are looking for people with experience = internships.

Yea, and exactly what your "first job" is has a LOT to do with grades (unless daddy can use his contacts to get you a comfy job somewhere).

I mean seriously, I don't think there is even a single guy in my program who has a 4.0 by junior year (I'm at a big name/high rank/cutthroat school)

Just because you have a degree in science/math doesn't mean you have to be a teacher or work in a lab. There are many jobs available in the general market which pay better, and GPA is almost never used because even different teachers in the same program result in different grades, and then you have colleges on vastly different levels from one another.

Grades are a sexist construct to discriminate against women.
