How did J. J. Sakurai die, /sci/? Me and several friends have been looking for this information for quite a while, but nobody seems to know.

You are my only hope, /sci/.

Try reading Modern Quantum Mechanics (1985) posthumous books often have info on the authors.

Yeah, that's what got us curious in the first place. It just says he died, and that he was pretty young at the time, but doesn't mention how.

All I managed to find was that he died suddenly while visiting CERN, so something like cancer doesn't seem likely.

The exact cause was never relased to the public. He likely died of consequences of repeated time travel.

Although possible, I've read about a few cases where the first sign of brain cancer (frequently Glioma of the brainstem or something similar) is dropping dead.

He also easily could have died of a heart attack, aneurysm, etc

Or some form of accident that would embarrass either him or CERN.

It seems we will never know. That's disappointing...
