• JAXA MMX (9/24). Phobos sample return
• China’s Tianwen-2 (2025). Asteroid Kamoʻoalewa sample return / comet 311P/PanSTARRS orbiter
• China’s Tianwen-3 (2028). Mars sample return. Wouldn’t be surprised if it beat NASA
• ESA/JAXA Comet Interceptor (2029). Flyby of an Oort Cloud comet
• China’s Tianwen-4 (2029). Uranus flyby

And the return to LEO has to be propulsive so you better want your Tanker/HLS to be almost fully fuelled when it departs LEO

, and of course a crew dragon launch that would do Launch->Dock with HLS->Dock with ISS for loiter->Dock with HLS->Reentry, if it can’t do such a complex mission they need two crew dragon launches

Im so mad about Elon. Since he embarqued in that Twitter / free speech nonsense hes not the same. What happened to the vision ? What happened to "everything i do is for Mars , my only and real dream and goal" . Is shitposting in twitter you dream ? is part of the plan? of course not and It shouldn't !!

He is just making a lot people hate him, and that will hurt the final mission. When was the last time he talked about Starship ? where are the "We are working to reach 320bar" , "this section will do ...". ?

And , what is the end goal with Twitter ? I really dont see a single benefit . You can't fight with the US,EU policies so he will need to comply with them, so basically Twitter will barely change. The real smart thing would have been keeping his believes to his insides , and working to influence the politicians to his likes (while he was still liked ) in the benefit of the end goal

I guess Gwen will do a good job keeping the engine running.

Thats because Starship has the luxury of choice while Apollo doesn't. Luxury of choice is Starship's strength, not weakness. Lack of choice is Apollo's weakness, not strength. Apollo can only bring 3600 kg to moon because thats all it can do.

Starship can bring 200 tons to moon if it wants to. It can bring 20,000 kg to moon and return back if it wants to.

Both options are cheaper/better than Apollo and SLS.

I have unironically come around to the idea that it’s actually SeX’s fault at this point. Oh well what can you do. Even Berger said they are past the point of ‘destroy build destroy’ and are way more scared of losing test articles now which is a bummer. Earth is flat with a dome.
God exists.

Aliens don't exist.
Space isn't real.
Gravity doesn't exist.
Never went to the moon.
Asteroids don't exist.
Nukes don't exist.
Evolution is a lie.
Germ Theory is a lie.

The world is ruled by secret societies that worship Satan. Jews/Jesuits/Freemasons/Illuminati are Gnostics and Kabbalists. Masters at deception. One satanic philosophy is inverting reality.

They make you think you live on a spinning ball.
They make you think you're just an animal.
They make you think there's a deadly virus out there.

Luciferyans are behind liberalism, feminism, socialism, marxism, communism, multiculturalism, egalitarianism, social decay and degradation.

They despise, and want to destroy:
- Religion, specifically Christianity
- Family
- Nation
- Property

Hence these civilizational concepts are under relentless assault to make way for their satanic New World Order led by the Antichrist after a fake alien invasion known as project Blue Beam.

ALL of these conspiracies hinges on the original, mother of all psyops and hoaxes: Earth being a ball floating in nothing, revolving around the sun

Film just can’t be beat. Especially a really good 35mm with someone who knows how to use it. It’s hard to make direct comparisons, but a digital “simulation” in terms of pixel density is about 8-15 megapixel equivalency. All the original human spaceflight pics from Mercury up to ~90s shuttle looks so fucking good, especially when rescanned

Probably with a city planner to work out the basic needs ie water sewage and power for the size of city. You are probably going to need to make it modular so you are adding capacity as needed. So you don't need sewage for 10,000 when the first ten settlers arrive. On top of that you need to lay out working environments, efficient use of space, reducing transportation. Independence of systems so if one moduel has problems the others can make up for it. My question is why is there an evacuated rail line? The Martian atmosphere is already quite thin, the expense of building and maintaining a vacuum rail system seems moot.

Yep. It really sucks that they saved the optics for civilian use but not the stations themselves. The first batch of 3 MOL pressurized hulls was 80% complete at the time of cancellation. These modules could have made cool little add-ons for Skylab. They could have mothballed them for future use as labs for the Space Shuttle's cargo bay, like Spacelab. NASA had studied the Transtage as an on-board rocket stage for the space shuttle, MOL had the same diameter and could have fit inside without problems.
What a waste of money.

the A6's boosters are too small
the A5 had a perfect aesthetic balance between center and side booster size. 6 is just unbalanced
honestly 5 is peak rocket aesthetics up there with the saturn v and soyuz. I hope 7 looks exactly the same as 5. Maybe with 4 boosters.

We should terraform Titan, It already has a 1.5 bar Nitrogen atmosphere, just gotta warm it up with some mirrors and add 0.2 bar oxygen. Then we'd be able to fly around using wings attached to our arms

RocketLab now has three pads and is struggling to make a launch a month. One is supposed to go up from their new Wallops pad this month, after many, many delays. It's not that easy at the low end in rocketry, which is why SpaceX quickly retired the Falcon 1 once Falcon 9 was working.

It's an ice ball, it will melt. Also, would the atmosphere even survive it? IDK how Titan even has an atmosphere, the gravity is quite weak.

Yeah I agree. I find both Ariane 5 and Atlas V to be super sexy. And yeah they’re old rockets shown to be obsolete by Falcon BUT they’re on their way out so they know they’ve seen their glory days. Vulcan and A6 are just last-gen copies and neither have my respect because they aren’t doing shit to advance space flight. And no SMART doesn’t count. SUSIE is kind of cool but the rocket needs to be reusable

Putting aside the fact that a bigger rocket like Falcon XXX or something was inevitable, SeX would have iterated on Falcon 9 until it was maxed out. Reusable upper stage. New engines with a more powerful engine cycle. Cryogenic upper stage. Boosters on F9 maybe. They would have squeezed every trick in the book if they wanted to.
Although there is the chance they just said “fuck GTO we don’t really care” in which case yeah A6 would be left with its own market trying to duke it out with Vulcan and maybe New Glenn

If SpaceX stopped innovating the Falcon 9 would barely have grown past the 1.0 version where it was competing with Antares. the 2.0 version would have swapped out the Merlin cluster for a single larger Merlin 2, but even that wouldn't have been enough to let it eat the Ariane 5's customer list the way F9 block 5 did.

SUSIE makes sense politically in that the only way they'll ever get funding approved for a manned spacecraft is if they can sneak in the dev costs under other programs. it's not something that a well-run space program would ever have to do.

It's not very likely. You'd need an single engine that could throttle down to 5% or less of its liftoff thrust, and that's an even more absurd ask than the things SpaceX is pulling off with Raptor 2 right now. It's more likely that they'd try to stick with parachute and splashdown recovery, and then just go cheapest possible mass production expendable when that doesn't pan out.
