What do open source climate models say about our situation?

https://youtu.be/fA5sGtj7QKQ

This guy has a bone to pick with 31 closed source ones vs another closed source Russian one which predicts something else.

The source for this graph is the Fraser Institute which is a think tank funded by ExxonMobil, the Koch brothers, and other oil companies to deny climate science and obfuscate data. They're corporate whores towing the company line.

If this shit is science then I'm a banana.

Source of that graph is from the environmental/climate dept at University of Alabama at Huntsville, which is the preeminent uni for legit climate science since all those guys usually go on to the aerospace institutes in Huntsville (its the place in the US where they develop rockets)

Incorrect. A reverse image search only returns four results. None of them are the University of Alabama.

You don't understand what that fallacy means. The source is obviously biased because they are paid millions of dollars for their bias. They are corporate whores who will say anything they're paid to.

>warming of 1 degree in 100 years is not a lot
The fastest global warming in the past 600,000 years is interglacial warming of 5-7 degrees over 5000 years. So we are currently experiencing warming an order of magnitude faster than the warning that took us out of glacial periods. It makes me wonder what exactly Patrick describe as "a lot."

>there were only two periods of warming
Warming has been consistent and exponentially increasing since the industrial revolution. Patrick is perversely attempting to use El Ninos as a "stopping point" for warming when ignoring them gives you an exponential warming trend.

>the stratosphere is not warming
It is warming, he's just averaging unhomogenized data sets that don't agree with each other and outdated satellite records that have been massively corrected since 2015

http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/10/5/054007/meta

I'm not going to watch the rest as its a waste of time. Patrick is throwing out a barrage of lies. He's a shill.

t. far-right conspiracy theorist

If you weren't a mentally unstable schizophrenic incel then you would realize that there are two major flaws with your argument:

(1) What incentive would these corporations have to lie about this data, and how would they conceal their secret plans from the general public? These companies generally employ thousands and thousands of employees, and we live in the age of mass media. How is shadowy cabal of elites able to prevent every single individual involved in their nefarious plan from revealing the details of their agenda to the public? You would think that by now there would be numerous employees coming forward with evidence to expose their evil plan.

(2) How are you qualified to comment on this topic? Are you suggesting that you understand environmental science and climatology better than actual scientists who study these subjects for a living. You're a random conspiracy theorist on the internet, and probably some sort of uneducated blue collar white dude who blamed all of his problems in life on the "globalist elites" instead of taking responsibility for your life. I'm pretty sure a scientist who has literally spent years studying the climate has a better understanding of the subject than some bitter and angry conspiracy theorist on the internet who is convinced that everything is part of some global conspiracy by a mysterious and shadowy network of "elites".
