Very new viruses may kill people really easily but after a decade or so the same virus doesn't kill anymore, not because our bodies learn to fight against it (forget the medicine against viruses), but because the virus evolves into a less deadly version of itself in order to do what it's supposed to do; spread out to even more people.

People still don't realize what is the difference between theory and hypothesis. Evolution is unprovable because it's a theory, but it can predict results much better than other theories.
