astrology is more scientific and legitimate than astronomy is. astrology has disprovable theories and repeatable experiments. astronomy has "my theory isn't wrong, i'll just add dark matter and dark energy wherever its needed to prove my theory correct"

Not OP but the idea is that the position of the planets above and below you while you were born forms a sort of "map" of your life, meaning that when you came out of your mother, where the planets were positioned tells you your life path. Right before the sign switches gives you a high degree on your sun, implying it is likely the planet that holds your soul's purpose in life, and by observing it in relation to other aspects, you can determine the "karma" that is to be burned there.

Astrology is basically alchemy, eventually it may turn into a real science, but not any time soon and while women are in charge of it.

There's probably a lot of predictions you could do about someone from the month they were born, but you'd need men not women to take it seriously enough for it to make any progress.

This is relative to the start of the school year. Its got nothing to do with the absolute time of year you're born.
