Yeah newspace is likely the route I'd have to take. I would have pursued work at Stoke or similar if I were still in Seattle. Hell, I probably would have taken the Blue Origin job if it had been offered, but I interviewed like three days before they got cucked out of their moon landing contract so they ended up not hiring many people at all from that batch.
I guess I'm just lamenting my current career trajectory. My goal has always been to work on spacecraft, and that hasn't changed, but with a wife and kids on the way living outside of anywhere important to the industry I'm beginning to lose momentum. I really don't want to spin my wheels doing oil changes and lubricating slat tracks on passenger aircraft for decades.
