Euro here, lets be clear.
ESA in THEORY can make crewed capsules&man rated rockets.
They have the knowhow&tech&industry to back it.
In REALITY, ESA is a clusterfuck of nations fighting over every crum of taxpayer money while the french wave their big ariana cock around and the italians blow shit up.
ESA could be so much more...

ESA actually does a lot of shit, but they never follow through on it.

Reminder to not be a fag and shit on everything not spaceX related, it's called spaceflight general, not spaceX circlejerk general.
But SLS is free game.

The nips are litterly firing copper rods at rocks in space and will have those samples back on earth in a year
And ESA also has a shitload of projects next to the ISS joint partnership, and unlike NASA where a majority of the research and projects gets canceled every 4 years esa actually finishes the work they start.

And india and china are pretty much backtracking the entire US spaceprogram staring in the 60's.
In the next decade they will catch up.
