So I have a teacher that teaches through a website he has made. It has a ton of bugs in it and I do not know if the correction system is also bugged. I did this problem and every time I looked it over, it seemed to be correct. Its Physics, and here is the problem:

A mountain climber is steadily descending at -1.1 m/s using a rope. (Assume the positive direction is upward.)
While going down a first aid kit accidentally falls out of his backpack.
After 3.79 seconds, what is the displacement of the first aid kit from the mountain climber (how far below)?

The answer I got was 74.55309 meters
Would this be correct?

IQ ~140, SAT was 1280/1600 (650 math 630 Reading). Got kicked out of special program for behavior issues, currently studying math and physics as an undergrad, but really just out of genuine interest. I usually understand/solve things better than most of my peers and I have some clever moments here and there, but nothing special really. I would never call myself talented, especially since I can be a huge moron half the time.

Data Analyst
Right now I'm figuring out the health of watershed flows that pour into the Chesapeake bay by analyzing the decline of crustacean and bivalve population strength. This is the third project this year, and most of them are different (I've determined where to make controlled burns to prevent forest fires, and acted as a consultant on a TS level clearance project - meaning i can't talk about it - for analysis of jet noise on the surrounding environment for the Air Force.)

Hey, environmental science may be a hodgepodge of "real" sciences, but I'm making moneys. More than most of you "proper science" fags can say.

(Oh, and once you know that it's not "foundations of modern analysis" but "treatise of analysis" the book's way easier to find haha)

Because if man were meant to walk on the moon god would have given us cement feet.

Besides, who the fuck would want to be an astronaught? (more like AstroNOT amirite?)

Flying around in space knowing you just wasted billions of taxpayer dollars so that you can touch yourself while looking down on them while getting space germs and eventually becoming addicted to tang.

Have you SEEN pictures of Buzz Aldrin?

This would have been the FIRST cut on the table if I was in charge.

Hypothesis: Everyone on /sci/ is an underachiever (ie. an euphemism for "loser")

Otherwise they would be busy working on papers,
doing real science and getting paid serious cash.

They'd generally not be giving a damn about random
people asking questions or answering them with answers
copypasta from wikipedia.

Hi /sci/

I was doing some googling about f(x)=x^x
so how can one compute f(-1/2) ? I tried but it's too much work, I suspect there's a fast method to do this.

I started with (-1/2)^(-1/2) = (e^(ln(-1/2))^(-1/2)

its funny how christianity tries to keep up with science like this, adapting how their god made everything with the new discoveries science finds, yet science is "soooo wrong". pathetic.

A is a 3x3
since dimensions of B and X have to work out on the RHS, X is a 3x2
so, AX is a 3x2 and (AX)^T is a 2x3
but C is a 3x2
so, you cant add a 2x3 and a 3x2 on the LSH
contradiction!
thus, no solution.

You enjoy clean air and water, as well as bears not eating you when you get your mail in the morning, those things cost money, ie, taxes.

Everyone else has to live with this, why are you among the certain few that can't deal? Don't be such a pussy.
