I'm genuinely surprised that more /sci/ fags don't know anything about this. When the Fark posts refer to the "Russian Einstein", how many of you even knew who that could be, let alone Yakov Zel'dovich? I had no idea who the fuck he was until about 8 years ago. It's not like he's a one trick pony with phase conjugation. He beat Hawking to the punch on Black Hole Superradiance and was arguably the principal of the Soviet nuclear weapons program. But I guarantee most of you had no idea who the fuck he was before last week or why optical phase conjugation could be revolutionary for laser systems (and 'other' things).

Going to pony up a million dollars for a ticket little zoomie? You missed the crypto boom so I guess you will just have to hope your parents croak it fast enough, if they haven't already reverse mortgaged their house to buy toys that is.

Congrats /sci/, it was truly a great run from you all. You also saved us from the pony menace, and I can't thank you enough for that.
As thanks here's this.

I was feeling a little horse and I feared I might be catching a colt, but the doctor looked concerned whinny got my test results: co-roan-a virus! He said I'd need to pony up and buy some ivermectin, but I've always been a bit of a naysayer about taking new medicines. I told him to give me some cough stirrup, and he did, but he called me a foal. That night I started to get mare and mare sick. I couldn't rein in that virus for anything. I called the doctor and asked him if he thought the medicine he suggested could throw a halter on my illness. He said he thought so, but I wasn't feeling stable, so I sent a paliminover to pick it up. So after he farriered it over to me, I took the ivermectin, and it healed my up without a hitch.
Long story short, I never would have doubted the doctor if I'd roan about the unbridled power of this medicine!

Hardly, and being European I don't have a pony in that race.
>thanks for letting us all know, how much energy does to water cooling system for solar panels require an is that more than the benefit it produces?
Cooling depends on a lot. If you use the thermal energy to heat a swminning pool, the cooling is for free. You could take it a step further with a combined day/night cycle:
- During the day, store the heat in large tanks, say 100 m2 panels and 10 m^3 tanks. It does not take much to bring this close to the boiling point, but you really don't want to go above 40 C.
- During the night, use the stored heat to power a Stirling engine, and use the solar panels as a heat sink. Better yet, dump the heat using a series connection, say hot water mantle, then swimming pool, then solar panels.
That way you should get about 1 KW electic power during the night, while limiting thermals cycling and wear of the solar panels, and the cooling is only the cost of running a small pump and operating valves.

Not that anon but you're not taking into account different goals and circumstances here.

China isn't interested in intellectual trinkets given out by Europeans. They're interested in economically and militarily dominating them. Hence why they were willing to blood trade over half their entire population to cheap unsafe labor to become economic "engine" of the world. Hence why they will just copy and steal your intellectual properties to make their own versions of it instead of wasting time to do the extra work.

Japan was the one interested in participating in the dog and pony show for those trinkets. Partly to become as socially and economically competent as European countries and partly to show off in front of the rest of East Asia. Meanwhile Korea (South Korea particularly) is still trying to get their bearings from being split in half and maintaining economic relevance in the face of China and Japan.

There's also the fact that recently nobel prizes are mostly focused on a few subjects. South Korea is mostly focus on manufacturing and telecommunications. Neither of those make the top 5 and barely the top 36.

Seriously?
Why are they still bothering to search? They haven't found any evidence of the rig, and the submersible has done nothing to help assist search & rescue operations.
This is more difficult than trying to find a needle in a haystack; at least in that scenario, you know there's at least one needle. This sub could be hundreds of miles off course, or already imploded and is now a spec of crushed metal on the ocean floor.
They should stop wasting money on this unless the families of the billionaires pony up some money for continued rescue operations.

>It's just as I said

You cited sources that are too stupid to understand what light is. That's why they're still perplexed by the question to this day. Some even ask the same question, which makes your disingenuous statement to:
>"hurr go read a quantum mechanic book"
moot.

It's like Mormon telling me to read the book of Mormonism because I'm too "stupid" to understand his deep, but still radically insane ideas on the fundamental nature of how reality functions. I know you don't have proof of a light particle, just as I know that a Mormon doesn't have proof of the Angel Moron(i). Neither have proof of these alleged phantasms they believe in. One of them is dumb enough to apply the scientific method to such shadow chasing.
I am not going to waste my precious short time on this earth reading whatever insane gibberish that justifies, reifies and more or less acts like a coping talisman to believe in what never had basis in reality in the first place. Pony up or shut up you book learned moron.

>Seriously though because it's a moving base station, it's more of a hassle for the satellites to deal with

Absolute bs, compared to the satellite moving at LEO speeds it makes fuck all difference if you are sitting still or moving at 6 knots, besides the RV version is for use while moving and that package is like a quarter of the price. People were using the regular RV model on their boats too before Elon starting jewing so it's pretty obvious you don't need the gorillion dollar special snowflake hardware either. It's a pretty shit business decision honestly because every motherfucker who lives out of their boat, which is quite a lot, would instantly pony up if the monthly connection cost was the same as the RV package, even if they were still jewing on the hardware price. With it priced as it is basically no one will buy it except the sailing influencer channels, its just too much to swallow.
