As far as survival, the head remains viable for reoxygenation at room temperature without brain damage for several minutes, with brain damage for an hour or more. With cooling, it can remain viable for reoxygenation for an hour or two without brain damage.

As far as consciousness and not survival, 30 seconds is pushing it. I've head anecdotes up to 20 seconds, and at least a few seconds is agreed upon by pretty much everyone with the medical knowledge and a strong stomach.

My head is indeed 61cm/24", just over the definition of macrocephaly. Main reason I started this thread, when the first troll said I looked like I had FAS, I researched the condition and found out it correlates strongly with microcephaly, and microcephaly correlates strongly with mental deficiency. I then measured my own head, and got an ego boost (d'oh), and started reading more on the link between cranial capacity and intelligence.
