Have you ever read a book so disturbing you couldn't finish it?

Honestly most famous 'disturbing ' books are kinda crap.

The Marquis de Sade is an extended religious lecture. Mccarthy's early fiction is too overwrought for my taste. Hogg is just bad pornography, while things like Girl Next Door and Wasp Factory cant rise above their second rate fiction trappings.

Story of the Eye and 120 Days are rare exceptions.
