The kind of guy who looks like this but not a cat
Like the kind of guy who would take an extreme closeup picture like this all blurry and amateurish and you might think he would use this picture on a dating profile but of course this guy would never do online dating not in a million years wouldn't be caught dead online dating but still taking a picture like this.

>new sincerity as genre
Largely
>what type of person do you imagine?
Imagining a person who hasn't realised that everything ever written is actually all true always, yet. "Infinite Jest" can put that "chink" in the armor of litterary conceptions. Whether it's initial attraction for its inherent pretension, setting (the kind as "world-building"), or some sort of perceived airs gained with admission to this exclusive web clubs for "know-it-alls".
Best warm up read before "BOTNS", then that can be your favorite book, "Jest" will be second. Similar to your favorite teacher in High School who let you out of class early to pick up BK on the way to the skate park.

I'm not close to being done with the book and I'm an unliterate retard so any deeper meanings will likely be lost on me, but I really liked reading about Orin putting glass tumblers on cockroaches to suffocate them

My impression of this book from people posting about it on /lit/ is that it's difficult to read, maddeningly so, and what you get for your effort isn't necessarily worth it. Is that right?

Infinite jest is my favorite book.
The book is a rorschach test. It may as well be a mirror. Don't like what you see? Not my problem.
Well said!
Thanks!
