There's really not much you can do to stop people or things getting into rail lines unless you do something like the Shinkansen where the majority of it is built off the ground and has gated access.

It's kinda fenced of there only because there's a road parallel to the rail and you don't want vehicles or people just drifting into danger. The contrast to before is that there is no road running parallel to that line, so there's basically no reason for any people being close to the line unless they try to be, in which case see above.

I watch Rambalac videos, and more often than not when he is walking by a railway line in a major city like Tokyo or Saitama, the fences are just waist-height at best, nothing like the security (or filth) around my place.

There are high ones in many places around here, so I don't know. Except if you don't consider this one high enough either? Admittedly it should be easy to jump over. Lol, yeah it's strange, in Japan you can so easily go onto the tracks outside stations yet have huge barriers in stations, but in my country the tracks are completely fenced off yet the stations are exposed with narrow platforms.

It has struggling recently with what life is delivering. I will also add that from the right of the Hiroshima port live camera a whole heap of military assets are kept! I've been on harbour cruises of both Yokosuka & Kure and I honestly felt like their was a lot more military hardware at Kure. It's actually insane the entire thread has been posting of the same old trains at the same old stations and ignoring Hanami. It's also insane there is no crossover with the Japan TRV thread which moves the fastest on the TRV board of which I've met heaps of people, anyways. Guess we really lack the numbers.

Technically injuries do happen. Drunk people or simple accidents leading to someone being hurt happens. Think once trains got delayed around 10 minutes because of some drunk dude getting partially by the doors. His bag or whatever. Despite being fixed fairly quickly, it took them a while to proceed.

Somebody can correct me if I am wrong, it has been over 3 years, but I believe the Yunokami train is technically a one man train? Couldn't use my IC train card back then, so I had to buy an actual physical ticket. Didn't realize that until a conductor showed up. The one time ever that I saw conductor (until my first shinkansen and for some reason a train in Shikoku). Not sure if the Yunokami train was actually labelled as a "one man" train. Obviously wasn't though. There are one man trains in areas without IC card viability without conductors. You just show your ticket to the people at the station.

There are also the traditional one man cars. There you have to enter in the back, pick a "number ticket", when you exit in the front you can see the fare related to your number on a display and have to put the money in an automata or give it to the driver.
