How do i make a plain room divider similar to pic related.
It needs to be least 150cm in height.
Should i just buy plywood and wood cubes?

There are billions of youtube tutorials that teach you this. Watch a dozen or so and pick a method that fits your experience and tools.

The easiest would probably be to butt joint plywood together directly. Maybe add a divider or two inside. Fill screwholes with some filler material, paint over.
