No, but I have been thinking about making my own TIG welder.

>piston wheels
That's funny. Do you have a lathe? If not, how did you drill it true? Also, what did you do for the bearing?

Kinda annoying to scrape slag out of your nozzle.

Not OP, but you don't really need a bearing for something like this. How many miles is he going to put on this in a year. Even if he uses it every day it would still be rolling fine after a few years. If he put a bushing in it then it would be rolling fine until the end of time.

lol yeah, the pistons are out of a chevy 350 i just rebuilt
they are aluminum so were easy to drill with a regular carbon bit
i tapped them and ran a threaded rod through both
for bushings, i welded washers centering the threaded rod to the frame holes
and the nozzle dip does help when running long welds

I'll be making one soon, though, I'm waiting on my shipment of transformer oil so I can finish making my welder first. then I'll know what I need in a cart so I can design one.

no because but its on my to do list. Right now my welder is on top of a craftsmen rollling tool cabinet. I keep all of my gear inside it and my gas bottle is bungy'ed onto the side of it. I want to build a full heavy duty steel welding table that my grounding clamp is connected on, but it takes up too much valuable space
