Yeah, guy… usually all the trades show up at the same time on the same day on your planet eh?

I forgot zoomers are afraid of cords. Probably the most frequent cause of zoomer death, tripping. Well, that and gender change surgery.

> corded are bulkier
I guess you’ve been using cordless tools without batteries? If you can’t handle the bulk, your wife can help you carry the batteries while you’re fixing outhouses with your angle grinder.

> makita batteries last 30 years???
No, my makita… it’s corded.
I am the guy that replaces the NiCd cells in my dewalt and hitachi drill packs. They’re 2/3 C or so something like that. I have to get them from chaiwan now, probably the only manufacturers now.
NiCd cells have also been getting better over the years, too. A lot of people don’t realize that. Also tolerate the cold, more cycle life, can withstand complete discharge, etc. energy density is about half Li-ion, but then again you can get insane 12 Ah packs for dewalt, so that’s not a serious issue for double the lifespan/durability.
I don’t have the og makita cordless with the in-handle batteries, you can probably refill the batteries in those too.

I only need the one battery.
In fact, I only need the one, Initial Charge on it for the lifespan of the tool itself.
Also, my one arm is completely jacked… it’s like twice the size of my other arm now.
… extra income from my circus sideshow act.

> cordless are for women doing little one-off jobs around the house
Completely agree.
See picrel? Even going with the crazy marketing claims (which only work on cordless tool chicks), this battery conks out after only 10 minutes when compared to the energy delivered by a corded—only when the battery is new, that is.
Who ever needs to do more than 10 minutes of work? Not I, that’s for sure. Physics lesson over.

Look how light that battery looks to carry around… pure convenience! Now I can cancel “right arm day” with my gym trainer.

Cords are scary! I literally cried when I saw one in real life, and now I have PTSD.

I once had to use a non-ergonomic wired keyboard to look something up at a parts store. Couldn’t do it. My god, The CORD! Do you see it? I can’t sleep at night waking up in cold sweats dreaming about that spiralled cords.
