Shaping the slits for the straps; came out better than I thought they would. I used veg-tan hide and soaked it in warm water for a few minutes. Now I have this under a flat plate with some weight on it so the belt loops should dry into nice shapes.

Gonna get some black leather dye or maybe just spray paint the thing... anyone have any experience with coloring leather?
